AO Holiday Season Updates & Last Minute Gift Ideas!

Give the Gift of Adventure in 2026!

The best gifts create memories, tell stories and fill our lives with adventure. Gift your favorite child, relative or best friend an experience they’ll be talking about for years!

We’ve created two virtual gift cards so you can choose the perfect fit:

Fishing Trip Gift Card!

Ideal for the angler in your life! This gift card can be used towards a variety of guided fishing experiences: walk & wade streams, casting from a drift boat or raft, or our one-of-a-kind Land of the Giants Jet Boat excursion.

Fishing Trip Gift Card recipients have the entire following season to book their trip at a time that works best for them, offering maximum flexibility and unforgettable memories on the water.

Merchandise Gift Card!

Perfect for AO fans who want to rep their favorite outfitter on and off the water. This gift card can be used towards hats, sun hoodies, sweatshirts and t-shirts.

Looking Ahead to Spring…

Spring is just around the corner, and Land of the Giants is one of the most epic rivers we fish. LOTG days fill up fast, so if you want first dibs on the best dates, now’s the time to lock in your spot!

These are our current available LOTG April and May dates.

  • April 10th-16th **PRIME Dates!

  • April 26th-28th

  • April 30th

  • May 4th-6th

  • May 10th-11th

  • May 16th-20th

We’d recommend booking a float trip before a LOTG fishing day (dates above) to warm up your skills and create a safe weather window. We can’t wait to get you on the water!

Fishing Report:

Yep, we’re still fishin’! :) It’s cold, but we are still running a few guide trips here and there, weather permitting, from now through March.

We’ve been concentrating our fishing the tail waters, primarily the Missouri and other tailwater rivers. Keep in mind that the Bighole and Beaverhead have been closed since October 1st for the brown trout spawn.

Hearty flies are the name of the game right now! We’ve been fishing worms, streamers, and beads. The top performers have been pink and orange beaded lightning bugs and sow bugs. Dry fly action is minimal this time of year.

We’re also starting to spend more time fishing on the two handed Spey rod. Scandi lines with light flies, like leeches and light, soft hackles, are working well for now. Skagit lines with heavier streamers will be coming into play soon.

In case you missed it, check out our new AO “Catch it on the Fly” sweatshirt!

This would make the perfect Christmas present . . . just sayin’!

Grab yours today — and we recommend sizing up :)
