May is Looking Big— Happy Mother’s Day!
Big News! Atlas Outfitting is setting up camp in Molokai, Hawai’i!
Ikaika Flagg — outfitter, guide, and founder of Atlas Outfitting — has a lifelong passion for fishing, hunting and exploring the outdoors with the people (and dog) he loves. Ikaika’s parents were born and raised in Hawai’i and all of his extended family lives there. He grew up fishing off the lava rock cliffs and hunting pigs and axis deer with his dad and two brothers. His younger brother, Kalama, guides alongside him and will co-lead the hunting portion of the Molokai trip.
This is the first time Altas Outfitting is offering this exclusive Molokai experience, and we’d love for you to be a part of it. Truly, this will be a once-in-a-liftime adventure: two days of ocean fly fishing for bone fish, two days of hunting for axis deer, ocean front deluxe camping with hot showers, a private chef cooking every meal, and two Montana-Hawaiian brothers leading the charge. :)
We’re excited to make this trip unforgettable. Spots are limited— don’t miss your chance to join us on Molokai!

Fishing Report:
The rainbow trout are changing colors and becoming more chrome as the water temps rise, signaling that May fishing is here! We’re transitioning from our winter techniques to early spring high-water tactics. Lately, we’ve been targeting inside seams, bends and tail-waters, while also moving to the lakes. As for flies, big-profile worms, rubber legs and leeches have been fishing well. On the lake, the chironomids are the ticket and sow-bugs have been effective in the tail-waters. May flies have been popping off too. Just in time for Mother’s Day, Mother’s Day Caddis flies are making quite the splash in the streams! Calling all moms to come try your luck!

New AO Swag Sneak Peak!
We are upgrading our Atlas Outfitting swag! New in May: Anetik sun hoodies and Blacktail Clothes t-shirts and hoodies — perfect for long days on the water. We’ve also given the AO Logo a fresh update and created our very own custom raft rack design. Inspired by Kalama’s 1993 Toyota T100, the rack is a custom steel build integrated into the truck bed, complete with an automatic winch system that pulls the raft onto the truck bed so we can secure it with ease. This design is more fuel efficient than towing a trailer, grants us access to those hard-to-reach fishing spots, speeds up the end of day load-out, and — most importantly — looks undeniably badass. 😎
